Curbside Garbage Collection
The Town Council has voted to execute a 5 year contract with Republic Services for automated pickup of regular household trash as well as recycling. For this service, Republic will provide each household within town limits two 96-gallon roll-out carts, one labeled for trash and the other labeled for recycling. Automated collection using the new cart will continue to be every Tuesday and recycling is every other Tuesday. Holiday weeks, services may run 1 day behind due to the Holiday.
The quantity of regular household garbage (or solid waste) shall not exceed 96 gallons per household per week. Republic Services is not responsible for gathering trash from bags that been tampered with by animals or otherwise.

Please place the roll-out cart at the roadside curb by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. If you exceed the 96-gallon limit, it is considered bulk trash; and residents may contact Republic Services directly at 336-299-0815 to arrange for a special pickup at a nominal charge.
Curbside Recycling for Town of Whitsett Residents
The Town Council has voted to execute a 5-year contract with Republic Services for single-stream curbside recycling pickup. For this service, Republic will provide each household within town limits a 96-gallon roll-out green lid cart for recycling. Automated curbside recycling collection using the new green-topped cart will be every other (Tuesday).

NC E-Waste Ban
Legislators in Raleigh made the recovery and recycling of electronics a priority in North Carolina. Computer equipment and televisions are banned from disposal in landfills. Drop-off sites are available for Guilford County residents.
